Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
CozyDesk is a cozy productivity app operated by Andrew Grow ("we," "us," or "I"). This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use CozyDesk. The short version: CozyDesk is built to keep your stuff on your own device, and it does not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
If you ever have a question about anything here, email cozydesksupport@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your desks, notes, and settings are saved on your own device, inside your browser. They stay there. We can't see them.
- CozyDesk does not require an account, and does not collect your name, email, or personal information to use the app.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- Two outside services are involved in narrow, specific ways: Google Fonts (which loads the app's fonts) and, if you buy a paid theme, Lemon Squeezy (which handles the payment). Details below.
What CozyDesk stores on your device
CozyDesk saves your work — your desks, sticky notes, to-do lists, calendar events, stickers, and app settings — in your browser's local storage on the device you're using. This means:
- Your data lives on your computer or phone, not on our servers.
- We have no way to see, access, or recover it.
- It is not sent anywhere over the internet.
Important: because your desks are stored in your browser, clearing your browser's site data, cookies, or history for CozyDesk will permanently erase your desks. A normal app update, restart, or reinstall will not erase them — only deliberately clearing site data does. CozyDesk includes a built-in Backup feature so you can save a copy of your desks to a file and restore it later. We strongly recommend using it.
What we do NOT collect
To be clear, CozyDesk does not:
- Require you to create an account or log in.
- Collect your name, email address, or contact information to use the app.
- Track your activity or behavior inside the app.
- Use cookies for advertising or tracking.
- Sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
Fonts (Google Fonts)
CozyDesk uses fonts served by Google Fonts to give the app its look. When you open CozyDesk, your browser requests these fonts from Google's servers. As part of any such request, Google may receive your device's IP address and standard technical information (like your browser type), the same way it would for any website that uses Google Fonts.
This is handled by Google, not by CozyDesk, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not receive or store this information.
Payments (Lemon Squeezy)
CozyDesk is free to use. Some optional themes may be available for purchase.
If you choose to buy a paid theme, the purchase is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. This means Lemon Squeezy — not CozyDesk — collects and processes the information needed to complete your purchase, such as your name, email address, payment card details, and billing location, and handles any applicable taxes.
CozyDesk never sees or stores your full payment card details. Information you provide during checkout is governed by Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy (lemonsqueezy.com/privacy). We may receive limited confirmation that a purchase was completed so we can unlock your theme.
Bug reports
CozyDesk includes a "Report a bug" link in Settings. If you choose to use it, it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to cozydesksupport@gmail.com. Nothing is sent automatically — an email is only sent if you decide to write and send one. If you do, we'll have whatever information you chose to include (for example, your email address and a description of the problem), and we'll use it only to help fix the issue and reply to you.
Things that may change as CozyDesk grows
CozyDesk is an evolving app. In the future, we may add features that involve collecting some information — for example:
- Usage analytics to understand how people use CozyDesk and which features to improve.
- Optional email sign-up or accounts — for example, a newsletter, product updates, or saving your desks across devices.
None of these are active today. If and when we add any of them, they will be optional where appropriate, and we will update this Privacy Policy to describe exactly what is collected and why before the feature goes live. We're telling you now simply so you know the direction things may go.
Children
CozyDesk is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and control
Because your data lives on your own device, you are in control of it:
- To keep your desks safe: use the built-in Backup feature to save a copy to a file.
- To delete your data: clearing CozyDesk's site data in your browser removes everything CozyDesk has stored on your device. (Remember, this is permanent.)
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and — where a change affects what we collect — we'll aim to make it noticeable within the app or on our website. Your continued use of CozyDesk after an update means you accept the revised policy.
